Life's probably been a bit rough for Pet and Jof. They went from having one of my favourite albums to having no record label at all. They have to hear "Be Gentle with Me" used in reality shows. Thankfully, things are starting to look up for the boys. Come March their second album finally sees the light of day! And they gave us a lovely little early Christmas (or holiday I suppose) gift in the form of "The First Snowflake." It's a lot more stripped down than you would expect, and features the rattling snare drums, glockenspiels, sleigh bells, and whatever that Christmas sounding string instrument is (a lyre?). So I guess it isn't that stripped down, maybe organic is the word, well, it's a wonderful winter tune one-the-less.For now you can stream their brand spankin new tune from Stereogum!
